Green Acres is halfway between Coquille and Coos Bay on the beautiful Oregon Coast. Everyone teases that it’s the “banana belt” of Oregon! We have moderate weather pretty much year-round. We also have a moderate amount of rain and clouds, fog and wind. Green Acres has been here as a Church for 70-plus years, most of them as a Village Missions Church. One of our big commitments during the summer is at Camp Fircroft, just down the road on Highway 101 at Langlois, OR. Ten different churches work at the camp throughout the year and send staff and campers during the camp season. We just finished our yearly adult Bible studies and our Pioneer Club. We’re gearing up for camp this summer and then back to Fall programs. We’ve gone through a transition stage this last year as several of our couples have retired and moved away to be with family, and we had several deaths in the church family as well.
PRAYER REQUESTS: Pray for growth in our S. S. department and Pioneer Club and that the Lord will replace some of the many folks we’ve lost through retirement and death these past several months. Also, please pray that Green Acres will continue to maintain a strong witness in the Green Acres community.
