Roy Bell’s connection with Village Missions began over 32 years ago when Village Missions’ Pastor Norm Sears came to his and Renee’s house to “discuss baptizing” their new baby, Hayley. Norm introduced Renee to the truth of the Gospel, and when Roy got home from work, Pastor Sears also led Roy down the “Roman Road.” That afternoon in July 1982, both accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord.
It wasn’t long before they were regularly attending and ministering at the Pahrump Community Church. A few years later, Roy was asked to join the leadership team as a Deacon and has served in that position since. Roy and Renee raised two girls and a son in the church. All three children are married and have produced seven amazing grandchildren, and all are attending and participating in their local churches.
Roy continues to work for the local power company as he has since 1973. Roy loves rural life and is blessed to sit on the Village Missions’ board, desiring to help get the gospel to more small communities, and help those who know Jesus to grow in their faith.
