A very nasty flu bug decimated our church and community this month. We were looking forward to having everyone back after the Christmas holidays, only to have many of us sent to our beds in misery. Even so, we have had two visitors at church during this ‘epidemic’. There is a small group of Korean foreign exchange students and their moms at the elementary school for January and February. One grade 5 boy and his mom came to church one Sunday saying they wanted to worship with us. Although both have very limited English skills, they joyfully participated in our worship service and have joined us each Sunday since. It is so wonderful so see that the tie that binds us in Christ is so much greater than any cultural barriers.
