Phil and Valorie Rownd, Stanley, Iowa

Stanley is a quiet village of 90 people in northeastern Iowa. We’re situated along a stretch of abandoned railroad that used to run through a string of farming communities, picking up corn and beans. The train doesn’t come through Stanley anymore, but the farms are still going and Stanley still has a fire department, a used car lot, and a shop that manufactures custom feed mills for hogs. We also have a busy playground, a loving church, and several vacant lots for sale.

PRAYER REQUESTS: Please pray for our family as we work through the never-ending challenges of raising children with special needs. The Rownd parents are often perplexed and exhausted, but pray that we can minister to others with the grace that the Lord gives to us.  Pray that we might not lose heart in seeking the Lord each day, drawing strength and learning wisdom from Him. Pray that we might pursue holiness in our lives.  Pray for effective outreach to those parents who send their children to Sunday school and youth group.
