Rownd-Phil-ValThe Lord has brought a lost man to Christ, a disabled vet with PTSD. He said that he considered himself a dead man when he took the oath to serve the flag. A coarse but patriotic man who expected to die in combat, he says, “I love the flag. But I want to serve Jesus Christ with at least as much commitment as I gave to the flag.” He struggles with physical and emotional pain from his past, and he admits that there’s not a day goes by that he doesn’t think about how much easier it would be for him to die. “But Jesus Christ deserves better than that.” He gets great satisfaction from a hard day’s work, and he is eager to work hard for Christ, but he understands that as a babe in Christ he needs to take time to mature and grow strong in the Lord. We’ve begun a 13-week discipleship plan. He has trouble reading even a large print Bible, but he has a magnifying glass, and he assures me he will do the work. Please pray for his progress.
