October 4: Eric & Helen Roselund, Pendleton, NY

Roselund-Eric-Helen-SquareWe are located between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, NY.  The church has been with Village Missions since 1968; at that time it was “fairly” rural.  Since then, it has grown in population, but still has a small town “feel” to it.  We are in a very nice area – I’ve told our congregation that I can relate to David, who said, “The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places (Ps. 16:6).”  We are blessed with a wonderful church family. Because it is a populated area, there are many other churches around. God has allowed me the joy of meeting and becoming friends with some of these shepherds.  There are many opportunities for ministry within our fellowship (youth, teens, adults and seniors) as well as outside our church (Salvation Army, CareNet Pregnancy Center, Homeless Shelter, etc.) and also trying to be a light to our own neighbors as well. Pray that we will have continued perseverance to “not become weary in doing good (God’s will)” and a greater zeal for the lost.
