I spent Friday with a local man on his job site logging in a remote area about an hour from our home.  Next, we had to hike down for 30 minutes to get to the job site.  A huge cable was strung from one side of the gorge to the other with a cart and side cables that transported the logs to the loading zone.  He took me all over the gorge, meeting the other men on the job.  I was struck by how tough these men were. Yet, their toughness couldn’t cover up their sensitivity to God and I was privileged to speak to them about His creation and invite them to church.  In addition, I was able to show the man I was with how he might broach the subject of God with his fellow loggers through natural conversations.  Being amidst the beauty of His wondrous creation made for a beautiful day- even if my knees complained about it for a few days afterwards.
