May 31: Travis & Jennifer Cochran, Cusick, WA

Posted in: Prayer Spotlight
Date: May 28, 2015

Cochran-Travis-JenniferCusick is nestled in the beautiful Pend Oreille River Valley, about an hour south of the Canadian border and about an hour north of Spokane, WA. The main employers are the paper mill, a small logging mill, a K-12 school, and the Kalispell Tribe, whose reservation sits just on the other side of the river. Many also raise cattle and grow timothy hay. Unfortunately, the economic boom was many years ago, and despite the natural attractions of abundant wildlife, river sports, and the local ski hill, many houses are abandoned and a lot of people are out of work. Pend Oreille Bible Church sits literally across the street from the river and is made up of a mixture of retired and middle-aged folks, with a couple of young families. Please pray for our Awana Kids Club, which primarily reaches the unchurched; growth in our men’s and women’s Bible studies; and our annual outreach booth at the county fair in August, which drew over 250 kids last year!
