The lady who leads the Good News Club at the local elementary school arranged for a Christmas party at the assisted living where her mother-in-law lives. The idea was the residents could invite their grandchildren and the staff could bring their children/grandchildren to participate. But that is not how it worked out. The only children who were there were connected with Sunnyside.

However, there were 40 residents who came and they heard the songs and the account of Christmas and the presentation of the Gospel. When it was over, one lady came to Guy and asked, “How did you get in here?” His first thought was ‘she is upset about the Biblical teaching.’  But that wasn’t the case. Instead, she said, “That was just what they needed to hear.  How were you able to do that?”

We are already thinking ahead to next year of how we can do this again and make the event more “senior friendly.”
