February 9: Bill & Rebecca Troxel, Nenana, AK
Nenana is an Athabaskan village in the Interior of Alaska. It is remote, rugged, and experiences extreme weather. The village is almost evenly split between Athabaskan natives and all other non-natives. The total population is about 400 people. I (Bill) have become involved in fire and EMS in the village. This requires a lot of hours on bad roads and in hostile situations. Please pray for continued safety. We celebrate the goodness and mercy of God as I’ve been kept safe even after a drunk driver hit the ambulance while transporting a patient. There have been a lot of deaths this winter. Several families have lost 2 or more members. Please pray for opportunities to share the Gospel and offer true hope. Join us in praying for strong Athabaskan believers to rise up as leaders in the church to the glory of God and the proclamation of the Good News to other Native folks who desperately need salvation in Jesus Christ.
