Farnsworth-Chip-LauraWe’re in north/central KS, not far from NE. The town has a population of 100 people. Most occupations are farm-related. The terrain is mostly flat – good for farming. We’re the only church in town that is open. The other church is a Catholic one that has services once a month. Pray for the Awana program as it prepares to start up for the new semester. Praise God for all the church traditions we have surrounding Christmas. The younger kids make popcorn balls and the church buys candy and peanuts. The adult Sunday school class puts these all together in treat bags, and pass out the bags at the Christmas program on Christmas Eve. This tradition goes all the way back to the Depression Era, when folks didn’t get to have much candy.
