I have been the Camp Medic for many years. It’s a unique way to help at our VM summer camps. It’s a privilege to kneel and wash the feet of these campers (stubbed toes, scraped knees and elbows), and serve them. I also pray for their safety a lot. Sometimes I get to sit in on some of the worship music but mostly I’m available for upset tummies and headaches and the bumps and bruises and occasional bug bites. When kids come to my “office” I mend their hurts, sometimes pray with them and then send them off with a popsicle to enjoy the wonderful experience of Village Missions Summer Camp.
