As two men and I mixed concrete for a slab for the tank that supplies water to the cabin, the conversation turned to spiritual matters. Lunchtime came, and we sat on the deck overlooking the water between Barnes Island and Clark Island. We discussed their upbringing, both having not uncommon stories of religious upbringings that provided no hope. Neither has put his trust in Christ yet, as one can’t accept that he does not have to earn salvation, and the other is just too put off by “religious” talk. It is a great process of seeing God bringing about conversations that for five years have been impossible. God is good; two unbelievers are helping us on a camp, not knowing that God is at work in their hearts!
