Praying 4Thank you for praying for our recent candidate school. We had eight couples in attendance (one couple had to cancel because of a last minute health issue).  Three of the eight couples were interns who had already been accepted and are nearing the completion of their internship. We accepted four of the five couples, who will now begin raising some personal support. Village Missions, in combination with the church, provides a base salary, health insurance, and a parsonage and the couple raises additional support that covers a service fee and additional income for them.  Please pray for these couples as they begin raising their required support.

Brian Wechsler writes, “Thank you for your prayers on my behalf and for our son. The doctor was able to repair the tear in my retina. I still have blood remaining in my eye that is bothersome but I have not lost any vision.  Please pray that the blood would dissolve quickly.  Our son is being treated by an orthopedic doctor in Salem who told him that it will take about a year to recover. Please pray for wisdom for the doctor and healing for Caleb.”

Please pray for the U.S. Board meeting taking place May 14-15 in Dallas.

Please pray for safety for the construction workers as they complete two new retirement homes at our retirement center in New Gloucester, ME.

Roy Adrian writes, “Praise God for the spirit of cooperation amongst the Canadian Board members, and for the vision that they are generating for the future of our Mission. Pray for the board members as they begin the Forward Again Campaign but attempting to raise funds from new donors.  God who has called us is Faithful – He will do it.”
