birth of christJesus said, “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mat. 20:28).  I am so thankful for our many missionaries across the United States and Canada who serve the Lord so that people might know the One who came to serve and to give His life.  Please pray that the purpose and meaning of Christmas would be clearly and powerfully proclaimed on each of our fields.  Please pray that our missionaries would be able to have their own times of celebration and remembering in the midst of very busy schedules.  I thank the Lord for our partners who have enabled us to send missionaries to country communities where, if the church had closed, little or nothing would be known about the purpose of our Lord’s birth.  In the coming year please ask the Lord of the harvest to send forth more workers for the ripe mission field of rural North America, for the funds to support those workers, and for our Contenders Discipleship Initiative to train new missionaries and church leaders.   Roy Adrian writes, “We will be traveling to Saskatchewan to spend a week with our daughter Cindy and her family over Christmas. While we are there we will be visiting with friends on our first field – Middle Lake SK. where Ryan and Jenneke Schnee now serve. We will minister in that church by participating in a child dedication service. Pray for safety in our travels, and that we might be an encouragement and a blessing to those we fellowship with.”
